In early September, Columbus, Ohio-based Diamond Hill Capital Management research analyst Blake Haxton scored big in his first Paralympic canoe sprint, nabbing the second-place spot in the sport's largest international competition. Haxton also competed in the rowing events, making him the only athlete to participate in two separate sports at this year's Tokyo games.

The Diamond Hill team writes on LinkedIn, congratulating Haxton, "Silver looks good on Blake!"

On Twitter, the folks behind the official Team USA account also posted their congratulations.

Haxton has been with Diamond Hill since 2016, focusing on airlines, energy, and transportation in his research.

Prior to his work with Diamond Hill, Haxton was a commissioner and vice chairman of the advocacy group Opportunities for Ohioans With Disabilities from 2013 to 2016, a position he was appointed to by Governor John Kasich. From 2015 to 2016, Haxton was an athlete ambassador with the Hartford, just after finishing his time as a research assistant to Professor Sarah Cole at the Moritz College of Law. He also served as a sales intern with Diamond Hill in the summer of 2013. Haxton is an alumnus of the Ohio State University and of its Moritz College of Law.
