Advance Capital Management revealed in an SEC filing on August 8, 2016, that the firm will liquidate its four Advance Capital I mutual funds by March 31, 2017.
Advance Capital Management traces its routes back to 1986, when three former Bell (AT&T executives) launched the wealth management shop. As of 2016, the Detroit area RIA now claims $2.4 billion in AUM and more than 5,000 brokerage and investment advisory clients.
Advance Capital Management launched the Advance Capital I Balanced Fund and the Advance Capital I Equity Growth Fund in 1987, the Advance Capital I Retirement Income Fund in 1993, and the Advance Capital I Core Equity Fund in 2008. Advance Capital Management also offers SMAs and model portfolios.
