CLS Investments is an ETF strategist and a subsidiary of private equity-backed NorthStar Financial Services Group.
CLS traces its roots to 1989, when majority partner W. Patrick Clarke created Clarke Lanzen Skalla Investment Firm, which later became CLS Investments. Then in 1998, CLS created the AdvisorOne Funds mutual fund family with the launch of two mutual funds.
CLS offers outsourced investment management services to advisors, and its mutual funds are designed around "adaptive risk allocation."
