Arrow Investment Advisors was formed in January 2006 when former members of the Rydex Investments product development team decamped to start their own firm. Based in Olney, Maryland, the firm launched its first mutual fund in August 2006. The DWA Balanced Fund is subadvised by DWA. Arrow's second mutual fund, the Arrow Alternative Solutions Fund, came out in October 2007. Completing its current lineup, Arrow launched the DWA Tactical Fund in June 2008.
Founding member Joseph Barrato is CEO and director of investment strategies for Arrow. Jake Griffith, another founding member, serves as president and director of sales.
Arrow entered the ETF business in May 2012 with the launch of the Arrow Dow Jones Global Yield ETF. The ETFs are under the brand ArrowShares.
