Century Capital Management manages three mutual funds, including
Century Shares Trust, one of the oldest mutual funds in the country.
Launched in 1928, the fund for 64 years was managed internally by the fund's board of trustees, which tapped a managing trustee to handle day-to-day duties.
Allan W. Fulkerson, board member and and managing trustee, started Century Capital Management in 1992 to externalize management of the trust. Century Capital underwent an ownership change
in 2004, when Fulkerson retired. Ownership of the company
transitioned to Alexander L. Thorndike and Davis R. Fulkerson, two of Century Capital's managing directors.
Aside from Century Shares Trust, Century Capital runs two other mutual funds, Century Small Cap Select Fund and Century Growth Opportunities Fund.
