Background:

Todd Cohen and Barbara VanScoy co-founded Community Capital Management in 1998, focused mainly on helping banks and thrifts invest in government-related securities to meet requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act Exam. CCM launched its flagship mutual fund, the CRA Qualified Investment Fund (a core bond fund), in 1999 with a single share class, CRA Shares, with a minimum investment of $500,000 and distribution solely through banks and thrifts.
Yet CCM did not keep the fund closed off from other investors forever. The firm launched SMAs in 2001, added the fund to Schwab's OneSource platform in 2004, and launched traditional institutional and retail shares in 2007.
In 2013, CCM launched an alternative income fund. In 2017, CCM took over as advisor to the Quaker equity funds.
