Chicago native Richard Driehaus started Driehaus Capital Management in 1982, three years after he founded Driehaus Securities LLC. A privately held and employee-owned investment
adviser, Driehaus Capital Management entered the mutual fund business in 1996.
The company runs a family of no-load funds. Until 2009, Driehaus' product menu has consisted solely of long-only equity offerings. Since then, it has broadened its lineup to include the Driehaus Active Income Fund and Driehaus Select Credit Fund.
Headquarters
Since 1994, the Richardsonian Romanesque-style Ransom Cable House has served as Driehaus Capital Management's home.
Richard Driehaus led the restoration of the Chicago landmark, which was designed
by Henry Ives Cobb in 1886 for Ransom Cable, president of Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company.

Richard Driehaus worked at A.G. Becker & Co., Mullaney, Wells & Co. and Jesup & Lamont.
Outside of investing, he has embraced philanthropy
and historic preservation. In 2003, he opened the Richard
H. Driehaus Museum in what was once the home of banker Samuel Mayo Nickerson.
Its total AUM as of March 31, 2017 is $8.7 billion.
