Oak Associates was founded in 1985 by James Oelschlager, who currently serves as the firm's chief investment officer and chief executive officer. He is also the PM of the White Oak Select Growth Fund and has managed the fund since its inception.
The firm’s first two mutual funds were opened in 1992, followed by five additional funds over the next eight years. All told, the firm currently manages $394 million in fund assets as of September 30, 2011.
