On June 14, 2021, Stadion exited its mutual fund business, with North Square Investments adopting all three of Stadion's mutual funds.
Stadion Money Management, then known as PMFM Inc., was founded in 1993 in Athens, Georgia. It changed its name to Stadion in May 2009.
On April 26, 2011, Stadion Money Management announced that it is selling a majority stake to private equity firm TA Associates. TA will own 54.4 percent of Stadion. The transaction became complete on June 30, 2011.
In 2016, Stadion launched Storyline, a streamlined investment service product, that enables investors to specify exactly what their investment goals are. In 5 months, they've obtained 500 plans.
Stadion once operated five mutual funds, the Stadion Tactical Growth Fund, the Stadion Tactical Defense Fund, the Stadion Managed Risk 100 Fund, the Stadion Trilogy Alternative Return Fund and the Stadion Alternative Income Fund. They also have separately managed accounts that match most funds.
