A pair of Mutual Series alumni, Eric LeGeoff and David Marcus, founded Summit, New Jersey-based value equity shop Evermore Global Advisors in June 2009. Marcus PMs in the footsteps of Michael Price, his mentor at Mutual Series (now part of Franklin Templeton).
Marcus has a particular focus on value opportunities in Europe, thanks to (as described on the Evermore website) "many Europeans undergoing strategic change ... trading at historically low valuations, even with vastly improved cost structures and operations." The Evermore claims to use "a private equity approach to public company investing," and its portfolios are concentrated and flexible.
