Background:

After serving as chief global investment strategist at Merrill Lynch, Chuck Clough founded Clough Capital Partners in 1999. The new firm's first strategies debuted in early 2000, and the firm began managing client assets on March 1, 2000.
After handing the CEO hat off to one successor in 2019, Clough became CEO again briefly in 2023 before bringing back a 16-year company veteran, Vince Lorusso, as the new president and CEO. Yet Clough himself remains chairman, CIO, and principal owner of his eponymous firm. Another founding partner, Eric Brock, left the firm in 2017.
The Clough Capital team describes their firm as a global multi-strategy alternative asset manager. They offer closed-end funds, separately managed accounts, and hedge funds. In August 2023, Clough Capital entered the active ETF space by adopting Changebridge Capital's two funds.
