KKR is rooted in the private equity business and did not enter the mutual fund business until 2012. Former TCW Funds chief William C. Sonneborn spearheaded that effort until his resignation July 23, 2013.
Suzanne Donohoe became president of KKR's sole open-end fund on July 23, 2013.
