Grayscale Investments, founded in 2013, is a large digital currency asset manager, with a flagship product, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, that is registered under the '34 Act. In 2022, Grayscale started a legal fight with the SEC to try to convert Grayscale's flagship fund into an ETF.
In 2022, Grayscale launched its own RIA, Grayscale Advisors, and its first ETF, the Grayscale Future of Finance ETF. In May 2023, Grayscale launched its own series trust and unveiled plans to launch three more ETFs.
