William Blair Funds
has added a mid cap fund to its stable of offerings. The Chicago-based launched the William Blair Mid Cap Growth Fund
, bringing the total number of funds in its fold to 15.
The fund will invest 80 percent of its assets in stocks of companies with market capitalizations between $1.5 billion and $14 billion. It will be co-managed by Harvey Bundy, Robert Lanphier and David Ricci, all of whom are principals at the firm.
At the moment, there are no plans to launch more funds, a spokesman said.
Total assets in the William Blair Funds hit $10 billion as of January 24, the firm said.
