's vice chairman, global chief investment officer for fixed income and co-founder, Keith Anderson
, is leaving the company.
According to a letter
sent to clients by BlackRock vice chairman Barbara Novick
on December 12, Anderson will take on an advisory role at the New York-headquartered money manager until March, then will depart to manage his own investment fund.

Taking over for Anderson as vice chair and global CIO for fixed income is Scott Amero
, an 18-year BlackRock veteran and has co-headed the firm's fixed income unit with Anderson for much of that time, according to the letter.
Amero will be joined by Peter Fisher
as co-head of the group. Fisher is currently chairman of BlackRock Asia.
