Call the redecorators! Wayne, Pennsylvania-headquartered
SunGard Data Systems Inc. (
SDS) is moving a
number of executives to onward and upward to greater responsibilities. These
officials include Cristobal I. Conde, David E. Robinson, and Till Guldimann, a
spokesperson with the firm told InvestmentWires.
Conde will take the
reins for the post of chief operating officer and will
serve SunGard's board of directors. Conde was
responsible for the launch of the trading systems division at
SunGard.
"In his new position, Cris will emphasize operational excellence
and our straight-through-processing and e-commerce solutions. We expect to leverage Cris' experience with his new responsibilities to continue SunGard's record of consistent and superior growth," stated James L. Mann, chairman and chief executive officer.
The second of the appointments moves David Robinson to senior vice president of the parent company. His most recent posting was as group chief executive officer of SunGard Investment & Shareholder
Systems.
Finally, Till Guldimann has been named senior vice president of
strategy at the parent company. He had served as vice chairman of
Infinity, which is a subsidiary of
SunGard.
According to the spokesperson, Conde will report to Mann, while Guldimann and Robinson will report to Conde.
"These executives came to SunGard through acquisition," the spokesperson concluded. "In most acquired companies, management is usually the first to leave. They've stayed with SunGard and have thrived here."
