In Friday's Wall Street Journal Fund Track, Ellen Sheng features Asian fund companies that are making a push into overseas markets. Among them is Mirae Asset Global Investments, the asset management unit of South Korean giant Mirae Asset Group.

Mirae has been busy launching funds in markets around the Asia-Pacific region and is getting ready to roll out mutual funds in the U.S. in the second half of the year.
