Larry Fink probably had a good day yesterday, as 
BlackRock [
profile] published a Q4 earnings report detailing a 24 percent increase.
According to a Bloomberg report, net income for the shop rose to $690 million, compared to $555 million in 2011.
ETFs did especially well, bringing in $47 billion in deposits during the fourth quarter. This drove total  ETF assets to $3.79 trillion. iShares ETFs brought in $34.5 billion.
Active funds, meanwhile, had outflows of $5.4 billion for equity funds and $374 for bond funds.
