Previously, Smith was president and chief operating officer at Bank of New York/Mellon's Transition Management Group, a division which focused on derivatives-based strategies to help institutions manage their asset class exposure during transitions, starting in 2001.

Parametric Hires Christine Smith as Chief Administrative Officer
SEATTLE, July 1, 2013 -- Parametric, a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. (EV), and leading provider of engineered investment strategies and implementation services to institutions, family offices and individual investors, today announced it has hired Christine C. Smith as Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. Smith reports to Chief Executive Officer, Brian Langstraat and will be transitioning duties from Parametric Chief Operating Officer, Andy Abramsky, who is retiring later this year.

Prior to joining Parametric, Ms. Smith was President and Chief Operating Officer at Bank of New York/Mellon's Transition Management Group, a division which focused on derivatives-based strategies to help institutions manage their asset class exposure during transitions, starting in 2001. In 2008, she also took over leadership of BNY Mellon's Beta Group, which employs derivatives-based strategies to reduce cash drag and adjust asset class exposure. She began at BNY Mellon as Director of Risk and Compliance in 1997. Before joining that firm, she held various roles at Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.
