On Friday Leary confirmed the appointment of Marty Willis as chief marketing officer of what is now called TIAA Global Asset Management [profile]. Willis will report to Leary, CEO of TIAA GAM.

Willis' move comes two months after all of TIAA, including TIAA GAM, rebranded from its old "TIAA-CREF" moniker. Connie Weaver, executive vice president and CMO for TIAA itself praises Willis as "such an experienced colleague."

"We have a great story to tell, and with Marty's leadership, we will bring it to an even wider audience," Weaver states.

TIAA GAM has $861 billion in AUM.
