Today Invesco and Ultimus Make Their Pitches In Person

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

The Invesco [profile] and Ultimus leadership teams are both talking to their key client bases today.

Bob Dorsey
Ultimus
Chief Executive Officer
This afternoon Invesco CEO Martin Flanagan and other top executives at the Atlanta-based, publicly-traded multinational asset manager will kick off the two-day Invesco Investment Symposium at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Financial advisors and home office staff from broker-dealers and RIAs will be able to hear from a host of PMs at Invesco.

Yet PMs won't be the only ones speaking at the Invesco summit. Other executives on the agenda include: Flanagan himself; Dan Draper, managing director of Invesco's PowerShares [profile] ETF business; Peter Gallagher, head of U.S. retail sales; John Greenwood, chief economist; Colin Meadows, senior managing director and chief administrative officer; Phil Taylor, senior managing director and head of the Americas; and Brian Thorp, head of U.S. retail business development. And the keynote speaker at dinner tonight will be Dana Perino, co-host of Fox News' "The Five" and former White House Press Secretary.

Meanwhile, this evening in Newport, Kentucky, outside Ultimus' hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, the mutual fund back-office provider will kick off its three-day, fifth annual Ultimus Client Summit with a welcome reception at New Riff Distilling. Sessions begin tomorrow at the Cincinnati Marriott RiverCenter in Covington, Kentucky. And there will be a networking reception and dinner along the river tomorrow night at Carol Ann's Carousel and Anderson Pavilion in downtown Cincinnati.

The Ultimus team expects about 175 fundsters to attend the summit. Bob Dorsey, managing director of Ultimus, and former University of Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer, are two keynote speakers scheduled to take the stage. BBD, Cohen Audit Services, Envision Financial Systems, Filepoint, Sullivan & Worcester, and Thompson Hine are all sponsoring the summit.
