Appointment: Jason Dubinsky

Dubinsky was appointed CFO of Morningstar, effective July 24. Dubinsky has over 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience, most recently serving as the senior vice president and CFO of planning and central operations at the Walgreen Boots Alliance.


Company: Polen Capital

Promotion: Jeff Mueller

Muller was promoted from a research analyst to a co-PM of Polen Capitals' Global Growth Strategy. Prior to joining Polen, Mueller served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, was an adjuct professor at Colombia Business School, and served as captain of the Trinity University mens' tennis team.


Company: Z Capital Group, LLC

Appointment: Benjamin Webster and Alexander Apponyi

Webster was appointed MD of investor development at Z Capital Group. Webster is expected to use his strong relationships that he built over his decade of global alternative experience to improve capital raising efforts and diversify Z Capitals' investor bases. Prior to joining Z Capital, Webster served as a director of institutional client business at BlackRock.

Apponyi was appointed MD and the European head of investor development. He will be based in London and is expected to lead Z Capitals' European investor development efforts. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the European head of Z Capital's private capital group where he led origination efforts in Europe, Middle East, and Asia as well as worked on more than $14 billion in fund placements and private financing.


Company: Lincoln Financial Network

Appointment: John Ekman

Ekman was appointed divisional vice president at Lincoln Financial Advisors for the Midwest market. Ekman is going to be reporting to John DiMonda, senior vice president and head of Lincoln Financial Advisors, and is expected to improve recruitment efforts as well as build and develop teams and successful business practices. Ekman will also oversee advisor relationships and provide specialized support for advisors and planners. Ekman has over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector; prior to assuming his current role, he served as senior vice president and divisional manager of the Metro Midwest division at U.S. Bancorp Investments.


Company: Arnerich Massena

Promotion: Ryland Moore and Arthur Coyne

Moore was promoted from business development officer to director of business development at Arnerich Massena. He was also added to the board of directors at the firm. Moore is expected to work with foundations, endowments, and high net worth families in order to build and strengthen client relationships. He is also expected to act as a subject expert for the firm when reviewing non-traditional investments. Prior to assuming his current position, served as a board member and investment committee member of Parkinsons' Resources of Oregon.

Coyne has been appointed the secretary of the board of directors at Arnerich Massena. Coyne also works as a senior research analyst who is responsible for researching strategic and tactic allocations of funds within capital markets as well as managing the completion of due diligence for Arnerich. Coyne has over 30 years of investment experience and has a degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.
