More details have emerged on State Street Corp.'s plans to cut a total of about 1,400 jobs between now and the end of next year.

The cuts would include up to 65 jobs from the company's State Street Global Advisors unit [see profile], Pensions & Investments reports.

Spokeswoman Arlene Roberts told the pub that SSgA's cuts would represent less than three percent of the SSgA's global workforce of 2,217 as of March.

She did not specify which posts within SSgA will be impacted by the layoffs.
