Frank Burgess started Madison Investment Advisors in 1974. Four years later, the firm entered the mutual fund business.
Madison Investment Advisors acquired
GIT Investment Funds in 1996. A year later, the expanded mutual fund lineup was relaunched under the Mosaic name.
Then in November 2006, the fund family rebranded from Mosaic to Madison Mosaic.
In 2009, Madison Investment Advisors formed a joint venture with CUNA Mutual Group's MEMBERS Capital Advisors, Inc. That JV,
Madison Asset Management, LLC, is the advisor to what are now branded as the Madison Funds.
