Cronin Brings Four to T. Rowe and Promotes Two

Jim Cronin recently made two key promotions, and he also hired four wholesalers.

Cronin, head of broker-dealer field distribution for T. Rowe Price's U.S. intermediaries (USI) business, confirms Paul Cooney, Jerome Hunter, Liz Lozier, and Mary O'Rourke all recently joined his team at the Baltimore-based mutual fund firm and that Tom Bauer and Victor Pita are on the rise. Hunter joined T. Rowe back in November, while Cooney, Lozier, and O'Rourke all joined up this week.

Pita, based in the Washington, D.C. area, and Bauer, based near Kansas City, both previously served as vice presidents and regional investment consultants. Cronin promoted Bauer, to divisional sales manager of the West, and promoted Pita, to divisional sales manager of the Southeast.

As for the new hires, Cooney, also based in the D.C. area, now serves as regional investment consultant covering the Mid-Atlantic for T. Rowe. He most recently served as a vice president at BlackRock.

O'Rourke, based in Stamford, Connecticut, also most recently hailed from BlackRock, where she served as an investment management consultant. At T. Rowe, she now serves as regional investment consultant covering Connecticut.

A BlackRock spokesman was not immediately able to comment.

Hunter, based in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, most recently served as an advisor consultant with New York Life Investments. At T. Rowe, he now serves as regional investment consultant, covering a newly formed territory called "East Carolina."

A New York Life spokeswoman was not immediately able to comment.

Lozier, based in the Kansas City area, most recently served as vice president and regional director at Goldman Sachs. At. T. Rowe, she now serves as regional investment consultant covering the "Mid-America" region.

A Goldman spokesperson did not immediately return a call for comment.

Bauer, an alumnus of Kansas State University, Joined T. Rowe in 2015. Prior to that he worked with Neuberger Berman and Curian Capital.

Cooney, an alumnus of Dickinson College, joined BlackRock in 2013. Prior to that he worked with SSgA and Guardian's R.S.

Pita, an alumnus of Washington University in St. Louis, joined T. Rowe in 2013. Prior to that, he worked with Caris & Company and Raymond James.

Hunter, an alumnus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, joined New York in 2011. Prior to that he worked with Pioneer.

Lozier, an alumna of Miami University, spent a decade with Goldman. Prior to that, she woked with PNC, National City Bank, and Red Capital Group.
