Promoted: Todd Jablonski, Rob Best

Yesterday Pat Halter, chief operating officer of PGI, confirmed the promotion of Edge Asset Management CEO Jablonski to chief investment officer for PGI's asset allocation group and the promotion of Edge senior managing director to chief operating officer of PGI's asset allocation group. The move comes as PGI is combining Edge's asset allocation team and Principal Portfolio Strategies into a single asset allocation group.

Onward and Upward: Geoff Craddock

Yesterday Roger Crandall — chairman, president, and CEO of MassMutualconfirmed the promotion of OpFunds' chief risk officer, Craddock, to CRO of all of MassMutual, succeeding interim CRO Brad Hoffman. New York City-based OpFunds is a subsidiary of Springfield, Massachusetts-based MassMutual.

Yesterday Barbara Goose, chief marketing officer for all of Hancock, hired McNally as vice president and head of corporate communications. McNally previously served as global head of PR for State Street.

Hired: Gregory Shannahan

On Thursday CHarles Sickles, managing director and head of wholesale distribution at AAM, confirmed the hiring of Shannahan as director of internal sales. Shannahan previously served as director, eastern division director, and acting national sales manager at Allianz Global Investors.

Hired: Jim Sia

On Wednesday John Gallagher, executive vice president and director of institutional services at Loomis, confirmed the hiring of Sia as head of relationship management at the Boston-based Natixis subsidiary. Hired: Ola El-Shawarby

On Wednesday VanEck PM David Semple confirmed the hiring of El-Shawarby as senior analyst on VanEck's emerging markets equity investment team. She previously served as a director and investment analyst at Caravel Management.

Hired: Tony Grigonis, David Perkins, Sevan Sakayan

A week ago Duncan Robertson, managing director and head of global distribution at Barings, confirmed the recent hiring of a trio of new members for his U.S. retail distribution team. Grigonis previously served as a vice president at Touchstone. Perkins previously served as a senior director at Principal Global Investors. And Sakayan previously served as a managing director at Neuberger Berman.

Appointed: Allen Bond, Gabriel Goddard

A week ago Robert McIver — managing director, PM, and president of Jensen — confirmed the addition of Bond and Goddard to the Lake Oswego, Oregon-based, employee-owned fund firm's board of directors.

People: Matthew Fine, Michael Fineman, Victor Cunningham, Mark Aaron

Last month Third Avenue founder and chairman emeritus Marty Whitman confirmed a host of people moves, including: Fine's appointment as co-PM of the Third Avenue Value Fund; Fineman's return as director of research and co-PM of the Third Avenue Value Fund; Cunningham's return as PM of the Third Avenue Small-Cap Value Fund; and the hiring of Aaron as chief operating officer and chief risk officer. Aaron will also lead the newly created operating committe at Third Avenue.

Hired: the Breton Hill Capital team

Last month Neuberger CEO George Walker welcomed the BHC team to the New York City-based asset manager. BHC co-founder Ray Carroll will continue to lead the BHC investment team.
